Poker Calculator Report: Hold’em Pirate … Hold’em Hawk Forbidden by Poker Stars
Since the Party Poker collapse a few years ago, Poker Stars has emerged as the indisputable head in pure numbers of internet poker players. They've the largest tournaments, the most active tables, the largest money games, along with the fastest filling up sit down and go tournaments on line. With that comes power - the power to choose your partners, internet marketers, and nearer to our point; suitable software.
Long have I been advocating Holdem Hawk and Holdem Pirate (they're really the exact same) poker calculators as simple to use and visibly attractive poker calculators. Lately though, these products have pushed the limits of acceptable use, a minimum of in the view of Poker Stars, and hence have been banned from use on that site. This is unfortunate news, as a reasonable product, not unlike several of the acceptable software authorized by Stars, is now virtually grounded because the biggest poker website on the planet thinks it's too closely connected to an Operative Poker Calculator.
An Operative Poker Calculator is similar to a secret agent operating for you, gathering and mining player information that you can use against them at a later date. The thing is, you do not have to be at the table for this to happen. The software (database) is working all of the time for you. For the majority of poker websites, that's over the line of justness, just as in real life as well.
But Hold em Pirate and Hold em Hawk are in fact Empirical Poker Calculators, just the same as Hold em Indicator is. These sorts of poker calculators only acquire data on your opponents whenever you are at the table, just like you were betting in a live scenario.
So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here's an actual warning I was sent from Poker Stars while running Hold em Pirate:
Following an evaluation of your account, we find that you are running an external program knownas Poker Sherlock, or its related applications, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate......PokerStars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, including instantly blocking access to the Games to such User, closing such User's account with PokerStars and seizing all monies held inside the relevant Poker Stars "real cash account".
Hey, did you observe the "confiscating all money" line? That's what you can do whenever you are this large!
The "related applications" is the origin of the trouble. The business that designed Hawk and Pirate also make Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. Actually, I believe that Stars suspects Hawk and Pirate truly mine data for these similar programs, although appearing like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.
So therein lays the crux of the issue. In case you occur to wager on on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you are out of luck, as I have tried to reverse this judgment. I got a polite response from the employees at Poker Stars, but actually, it's not likely to change. The very good news though is that Hold em Indicator has been added to Poker Stars suitable software list, and it's the only empirical calculator to be accepted by them.
