Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker player in the world by quite a few of the top-ranked pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before his first birthday. His grandpa taught him penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to learn anything he could about the game. He routinely told his elders that he was going to be a professional poker player. Phil began competing intently after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his techniques at the casinos of Atlantic City.
